EasiCyco Floating Backpack — Multi‑Purpose(Mounting Kit Included)

I used the bag for the first time as a substitute for panniers on an Erie Canal Ride from Syracuse, NY to Fultonville, NY. I chose to limit the amount I was carrying by using a hotel instead of camping. With such a minimal loadout the bag handled everything very well. I had no serious issue mounting the bike with the pack on the back. I'm 62, male, 205 lbs and 5' 10' and not as flexible as I should/could be and still had no issues.

I do have two questions about the bag, though. There is a wire structure in the bag but the upper part of that structure doesn't appear to be attached to anything. Is it supposed to be inserted into something to create rigidity? Also, and I know for a fact this is my fault, the extra seat post strap seems to have disappeared. If it is possible to get a replacement, I'll pay for it. I'm sure I'm responsible for misplacing it.

Bag is great. I 3d printed my own mount for a 13cm aero seat post which uses the supplied screws in addition to an opening to add a double sided Velcro for enhanced attachment. I didn't want to spend for the other mount in case it incompatible. There should be an option for standard vs custom mounting bracket at checkout.

The Floating Backpack is undoubtedly a product of incredible innovation. I was also highly impressed with the shipping; despite being dispatched from South Korea, the product arrived in less than two weeks.
Even on a 2020 Scott Addict RC 20 Disc model, it could be mounted without any issues using a universal irregular seatpost(aero seatpost) accessory.
However, it feels as though the product still has some room for refinement.
Here are a few specific areas that could use improvement:
Saddle Compatibility Issues: The aluminum fixing rings are not compatible with the carbon rails of the Specialized 3D-printed saddle, which is highly popular among cyclists. While the backpack remains perfectly functional without using the fixing rings, it does leave the product feeling somewhat incomplete.
Loose Telescopic Support Rod: When not actively in use, the telescopic support rod does not lock into place and moves around easily. To be fair, this isn't an issue at all once the backpack is zipped up and fully assembled for use, but it's worth noting.
Minor Cosmetic Defects (QC): The aluminum clamp connector arrived with some minor cosmetic damage right out of the box. While this superficial blemish has absolutely no impact on the backpack's actual performance, it does suggest that the brand's Quality Control (QC) standards might not be the highest.

I bought this bag for my commute to work (30kms each way). I have a slammed Cervelo S5 and carrying a backpack is not comfortable as it gets sweaty and heavy. The EasiCyco backpack works so well, and I fill it quite full. I also bought the adapter because I have an aero seat post. There was a bit of trial and error to get the right fit to keep everything stable, but once that was sorted it is so solid, even over rail track crossings. I also like that the mounting bracket is minimal when I’m riding without the backpack. The only thing I wish you made is an insert to go in the bracket so I can mount my Garmin Varia on when I don’t have the backpack, as currently I’d have to remove the backpack bracket to use it because I don’t have enough room on the seat post.

So sleek and looks absolutely awesome!

I’ve tried many cycling backpacks, and this EasiCyco is my favorite by far. I rode over 20 km with this bag on the weekend, and the floating design is fantastic. It locks firmly to the bike so I carry no weight on my back at all, super comfy the whole way. It looks like normal size yet surprisingly roomy, I put tons of stuff in it like clothes, bottles, power bank, snacks...but felt nothing at all when riding, so so happy to have this backpack!

Wasn’t sure if it would be too bulky, but it feels surprisingly compact once you wear it.Good balance between size and comfort.

EasiCyco's floating backpack is simply amazing. I love it. I no longer need to cycle to work wearing a backpack. The floating backpack allows me to protect my back and use the bike I enjoy most for my commute. I highly recommend this floating backpack.

This was exactly as I expected.
With all due respect, I think it would be much better to mention in advance that if there isn’t enough clearance between the saddle and this bag, it might be uncomfortable when getting on or off the bike.

Works as advertised. Great bag! Future redesigns might want to include a convenient small pocket for phone, wallet, and keys.

The Connector from the Backpack to the Seat needs to be longer.

I cycle to work every day, enjoy a mid- length weekend ride, and have done a bit of touring, so thought this was a worthwhile investment as I don't really like classic panniers.

Pros:
- bag itself is good quality, good number of pockets/compartments, very spacious, seems sturdy enough. Mounting parts are easily removable so can be used as a regular backpack if needed

- sits directly behind you, so no uneven weight distribution or anything that's much wider than you are

Cons:
- the bag does press up against your backside if there is anything in it. I don't mind this too much for a short commute, but can see it getting annoying in the heat or over longer distances

- the connecting post is just too short. If I had my seat any further back it wouldn't be usable at all. Appreciate it can't be too long or it risks too much leverage or wobbling all over the place, but I'd like to be able to adjust my saddle without the connector becoming useless

- the rings designed to hold the clip straps in place on the seat rails would only work if your rails are a very specific size and shape. They aren't 100% functionally necessary, but if they were this would be really annoying

The most annoying part:
- doesn't clip in anywhere near as easily as it looks/says. You have to push the post into the slot to exactly the right position and it doesn't lock automatically. You have to push the clip down so if it's not in the right place you can't immediately tell and it has fallen off a few times. Not sure if mine arrived broken but if not this seems like a massive design flaw.

Can be tricky to get out for the same reason, you have to get the distance/angle exactly right or it doesn't really work and it gets stuck.

For what it costs I would really expect it to work more smoothly than this, it has been quite frustrating at times.

Installation was simple. Not sure I will have enough room however, once I add weight into the backpack since it barely clears over an inch without rubbing my rear tire.

Product seems great so far. Is well made, was reasonably easy to setup and is a good size.
My only concern is I commute in Lycra and I am having a bit of contact with the bag which could rub and wear the Lycra.

The overall design works well - I used it on a 585 mile ride from Buffalo to NYC on the Empire State Trail. What would help is to increase the length of the primary support post; when the bag is full, it's difficult to install into the seat post bracket.

Hi, fitted my floating Backpack and everything is great. The problem is my Cycle has front and rear suspension. As soon as I sit on my Saddle the Backpack touches my rear wheel. I have fitted it to the max height fitting near my Saddle but still touching the rear wheel. I will have to fit it to my second Cycle which has no rear suspension system. Shame as I wanted it for my first Cycle.

Great bag, I was afraid since my searpost is carbon but it works fine. I do not put too much weight in the bag to avoid risks for the post but all in all I really enjoy riding with it. No more back pain !!

Love this product! Had a small defect on one of the bars that slides out and hooks to the seat post. Company sent out a replacement. This is my second backpack from them.

Great idea but makes bicycle unstable it wobbles from side to side even with all the attachments connected to it.
